THE SPECIAL PURPOSE is one of the Pacific Northwest's premier grassroots musical acts. Their blend of old-school Funk and new-school Jazz combined with open ended improvisations creates a unique live musical experience that is thoughtful and exhilarating. Since 2004, TSP have been inspiring a diverse audience of music lovers looking for that perfect sound you can wrap your brain around and shake your money maker to. The Special Purpose has been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of the nations premier musical acts and performers including: The Consul, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, John Molo, Chris Littlefield, Garaj Mahal, High Ceiling, Steve Perkins, The Suffering Fuckheads, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Das Vibenbass, Melvin Seals, Vince Herman, In' Lakech, Willie Waldmanand and many others.

TAPWATER: This boisterous Portland, OR sextet blends the sound of banjo, steel pans, piano, accordion, upright bass, guitar, vocal harmonies and drums aplenty into a style they call World Twang. Band mates Steve Moore, Timmy Jones, Rudy Slizewski, Ravi Laird, Wes Elliott, and Simon Lucas, are all genuinely curious about how different cultures produce music. They study, explore, and borrow from genres across the world, and then blend what they like with their favorite American styles. The result is a high energy concert experience not to be missed!
